Harmonized System Tariff Schedule- The HS Code comprises a hierarchical structure for describing all goods in trade for duty, quota, and statistical purposes. Every item that enters Nepal has an HS code. Having this code ready is extremely important for quickly clearing and cost-saving your goods through customs.

The HS assigns specific six-digit codes for varying classifications and commodities. Countries are allowed to add longer codes to the first six digits for further classification. In Nepal, we use the HS Code of 11-digit numbers in which the first two digits represent Chapters, the later two digits represent Heading and the latter two digits represent Sub-Heading.  Below is a link to the Nepal harmonized tariff schedule.
